ABOUT US

Blitz owners Gary and Ebony are well embedded in the Halswell community and we literally live over the back fence of the gym! All of our 3 children attended Halswell Primary School where Gary spent some time as a caretaker and was on the School Board. Prior to that, Gary was in the Police for 18 years and this is why Blitz is now his perfect new work environment as he has so much passion for helping people make real change (and place to share his dad jokes)!

Gary has been involved in sports his entire life, firstly with a career playing several seasons of Division One rugby in Christchurch and then found a new passion in cycling, both on the road and on the track, representing at a National Level.  Gary is a qualified  and experienced personal trainer and has been training a variety of teams and individuals for several years.

Ebony has also been involved in sport her entire life and has represented Basketball at a National Level. Her latest sporting passion is also track cycling and she is currently a 3 time New Zealand Champion.  Ebony also just achieved the New Zealand Record in her age group for the flying 200m sprint. Outside of sport Ebony is the South Island Regional Sales Manager for 2degrees business and will be more the participant than the instructor for the Blitz Classes.

In between classes Gary specializes in 1:1 Personal Training which may include injury rehab, intensive strength or conditioning, sports specific training or just for anyone not yet comfortable in a group session.

Our vision is to provide a fun, friendly, communal group fitness studio in Halswell.  This is to provide the community a non judgmental supportive environment to fulfill your goals, both mental and physical,  which may include feeling fitter, healthier and happier than you were yesterday.  Whether it's your first time in the gym or a seasoned pro we would love to see you and you will be made to feel welcome!!

"The only difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little bit extra".
